I don't have any particular reason for doing so, nor do I have any goals or expectations. Maybe it will be nice to contemplate the space we are going to make in our lives for Baby August.

Since all we've had to stare at these past months was "Porchblogging: functionality edition," what's the status of the porch?
Congrats on the news of baby August. A certain Nashvillian let your 'Christmas miracle,' slip a little while ago, but it's exciting to hear/read you blogging about it, too.

That unnamed Nashvillian was making an authorized disclosure. No felony sentence for him. (Coincidentally, the Monkey and I were walking past the Prettyman Federal Courthouse on the day of Scooter Libby's verdict.)
I suppose I owe the blog a few pictures of the completed porch. Better yet, come over and sample it yourselves (especially when the weather warms up a tad).
The landscaping is in horrible shape; we'll see what spring brings.
